About this product
Get a tired wheelchair rolling smoothly again
Front casters take a beating. Once they're worn, flat-spotted or wobbling, every push takes more effort and the chair stops going where you point it. Swapping them is often a simpler fix than replacing the whole wheelchair.
These replacement casters have solid rubber tyres, so there's nothing to pump up and no punctures to worry about, plus sealed ball bearings to help them turn smoothly once they're correctly fitted. Pick 6, 7 or 8 inch to match your current wheels, in grey or black to suit your chair.
Suitability & safety
Installation and safety
Measure your current wheel diameter and width, shaft-hole diameter and front-fork width before ordering. A size that looks right may still be incompatible with your wheelchair. After fitting, check that the wheel turns freely, the fixings are secure and the wheelchair's brakes and steering still work correctly. Ask a qualified wheelchair technician for help if you are unsure about installation.
Please check measurements, weight limits and compatibility with your chair, home or vehicle before ordering, and follow the supplied instructions. This product is an everyday aid, not a medical device or treatment. If you have a health condition or specific care needs, ask your occupational therapist, physiotherapist or GP whether it is right for you.
