About this product
Bath time without the step over the rim
Stepping over a bath rim on a wet floor is one of the trickiest parts of the day for a lot of people. With this transfer bench, you sit down outside the bath, then slide across and lift your legs over, so the rim stops being an obstacle.
The seat has a non-slip surface with drainage holes so water runs straight off, a padded armrest gives you something to hold as you move across, and the backrest flips to suit whichever side your bath is on. Set the height to suit you from nine positions without any tools, and the suction-cup feet help keep it steady on wet surfaces.
Suitability & safety
Before use
Measure your bath before ordering: the height from the floor to the top of the rim (A) must be 49.5 cm (19.5") or less, and the difference between the outside height (A) and the inside height (B) must be 10 cm (4") or less. Maximum user weight is 100 kg (220 lb). Position the bench with the armrest and the wider feet inside the bath so they do not block the user getting on and off. Check the frame, fixings and suction cups before each use and stop using the bench if anything is loose, worn or unstable. A transfer bench is a bathing aid, not a substitute for professional assessment; if you are unsure whether it suits the user's needs, speak to an occupational therapist.
