About Philability
Our Story
Philability was born from real lived experience.
Phil lives with MS and is also recovering from a stroke — two life-changing conditions that transformed everyday life, especially when it comes to travelling and getting around. What once felt straightforward suddenly required careful planning, the right equipment, and a great deal of resilience.
One of the most frustrating discoveries along the way? How many places proudly labelled "accessible" still create very real challenges for wheelchair users. The gap between what's promised and what's actually experienced can be enormous — and for disabled travellers, that gap matters enormously.
Why We Started Philability
We started Philability to change that — one honest review at a time.
Our mission is simple: share the reality of accessibility, offer genuine travel tips from someone who truly understands the challenges, and provide products that actually make a difference to daily life and independence.
We're not here to sugarcoat things. We tell it like it is — because disabled travellers deserve honest information, not just marketing promises.
